Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many extensions and themes previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia. Instructions are as follows:
- Download/Update the latest version of iTunes.
- Connect your device and Back up your data in iTunes.
- Download Sn0wbreeze 2.0.2 and the 4.1 Firmware for you iPod or iPhone. (Download Links Below)
- Extract Sn0wbreeze and Open it.
- Select Simple Mode and click the arrow
- Click Browse and Select the 4.1 Fimware you downloaded earlier.
- Wait and Wait and Wait.
- Then When Done the firmware will be on you desktop.
- Open iTunes.
- (This Bit only for iPhone 3G and iPod touch [MB]) Download iREB.
- Extract iREB, Open it and choose Online Mode.
- Plug in you iPod/iPhone, then put you iPod/iPhone in DFU Mode.
- Turn iPod/iPhone off.
- Hold Power and Home buttons together for 10 seconds or so.
- Release Power button but keep holding the Home button until your computer recognizes a new USB device.
- iTunes will now recognize your iPod/iPhone
- Click you Device in iTunes then Press and Hold the Shift Key (Windows) or Alt Key (Mac) and also click on Restore.
- Choose the Sn0wbreeze firmware you created and then wait for it to finsh.
- Once you are done you will be jailbroken on 4.1
